Gucci’s relationship with cinema dates back to the 1940s and in collaboration with the Venice International Film Festival the Florentine house now announces a new annual award that will celebrate an outstanding artistic achievement by a woman in filmmaking: the Gucci Award for Women in Cinema. The first recipient will be announced at next year’s Venice Film Festival.
